Description
39 Tottenham Street is a terraced house with a later shop, dating from the late 18th century and altered over time. The building has four storeys and a basement, along with a three-storey extension. The facade features two windows and a one-window extension facing Goodge Place. It is constructed of darkened stock brick, with the upper parts having been refaced. The ground floor includes an earlier 19th-century wooden double shopfront at the corner, supported by pilasters that carry an entablature with a projecting cornice, flanked by mid-19th-century stucco consoles. The shop window and doorway have been altered, and there are gauged red brick flat arches above recessed 20th-century casement windows. The building is topped with a parapet. The interior has not been inspected.
