Description
Stockbridge House is a house dating from the late 18th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It has three windows and stands three storeys tall. The building is constructed of red brick, with the upper storey added in the 19th century to the original 18th-century structure, which featured a steeply-pitched roof, likely covered in plain tiles. The current roof is slated and hipped at one end, with end chimneys made of red brick.
The house features splayed mid-19th-century bay windows that are two storeys high and have flat roofs, along with sash windows. The entrance includes small panels and an oblong fanlight, flat pilasters with sunk panels, and a heavy dentil cornice supported by console brackets. Access to the house is via limestone steps.
