Description
Portland House is a house dating from the early 19th century. It features five windows and stands three storeys tall. The walls are finished in stucco, with channeling up to the first floor. There are flat terminal pilasters with mounted capitals and bases from the first floor to the eaves, and a moulded wooden cornice at the eaves. The roof is slated and has chimneys made of gault brick.
At the ground floor, there are a pair of splayed bays with flat roofs and modillion eaves. The upper floors have sash windows, although these have been replaced with large-pane sashes. To the right, there are a pair of carriage-entrance doors, each consisting of nine panels and flanked by flat pilasters. Above the entrance, there is a splayed bay that rises through two storeys, featuring sash windows and a flat roof.
