Description

Godfreys Cottages, consisting of Nos 3 and 4, is a farmhouse that has been converted into two cottages, dating from the early 17th century. It features a three-cell lobby-entrance plan, is one and a half storeys tall with attics, and has four windows. The building is timber-framed and rendered, topped with a thatched roof that has carved bargeboards. There is a 19th-century axial chimney made of red brick with saw-tooth ornamentation, and a thatched gabled casement dormer. The windows are modern casements, and the entrance doors are boarded. The property was restored around 1970, and the one-storey additions on either side, which house cottages 1, 2, 5, and 6, are not considered of special interest.
