Description
3 High Street is a timber-framed and plastered building, likely dating from the 16th to 17th century, but it was largely reconstructed in the late 18th century. The building has two storeys and features a three-window range with double-hung sashes that have glazing bars, all set in flush cased frames. The ground floor includes a 19th-century shop front with a central doorway, panelled stallboards, and one three-light window. The roof is hipped and covered with slate. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 8 (consecutive) along with Nos 28, 29, and 31, as well as the listed buildings in Well Lane, Stone Hall, and Nos 36 to 40 (consecutive) on Nethergate Street.
