Description
Number 4 is a cottage built around 1870, featuring red brick and a plain tiled roof in the Tudor style. The main part of the building is one and a half storeys high and is positioned gable-on to the road, with a small single-storey section extending at a right angle. The gable displays moulded bargeboards and pendant spike finials at both the apex and eaves. The round-headed paired single-light casement windows have chamfered brick surrounds. The single-storey section includes a blocked window and a small lean-to porch extension. Although the interior was not inspected, there is an attached curved section of high red brick wall with dentils to the west of the house, and to the east, a short straight section of wall features a semicircular-headed doorway with a boarded 'Tudor' door.
