Description
17 Angel Hill is a Grade II listed building located in Bury St Edmunds. This structure, which serves as offices but was formerly a house, dates from the 19th century, likely incorporating elements from a late 17th century core. It is constructed of red brick, and its roof, which was severely damaged by fire in 1982, features 20th century plain tiles and a modillion eaves cornice. The building has two storeys, attics, and a basement, with a two-window range. The windows are sashes without glazing bars, set in plain reveals with stone sills and external slatted shutters. There are also two gabled dormers, each with 4-pane sash windows. The central entrance door is framed by a reeded doorcase and is sheltered by a 20th century bracketed hipped porch roof, accessed by a flight of stone steps with cast-iron wreathed handrails.
