Description
124 and 125 Northgate Street is a house that later became a semi-detached pair of houses and is now divided into four flats. It dates from the 17th century, with an early 19th-century front. The building is timber-framed and roughcast rendered, topped with a plain tiled roof. It has two storeys, with a rear range that extends over the ridge of the front roof. The front features a two-window range, with all windows being 12-pane sashes in heavy moulded flush cased frames. The ground storey windows are much larger than those above. At each end of the front, there is a door with six sunk panels and a rectangular fanlight. A change in the roof pitch at the eaves level indicates that the front has been raised. The interior has not been inspected.
