Description
The Dutch House is a house that was formerly part of Mustow House, dating from the early 19th century. It features a red brick front and rendered sides, topped with a plain tiled roof. The house is positioned sideways to the street and has an elaborately shaped Dutch gable.
The exterior consists of two storeys, with two sash windows in flush cased frames on the ground floor; one window has a single vertical bar, while the other has two vertical bars. On the upper storey, there are paired 20th-century windows set into a wider recessed opening that is partly blocked, featuring a shallow segmental brick arch above. The entrance door has flush panels and is framed by a moulded wood architrave with a flat bracketed pediment. The interior has been modernised. The building is included for its group value with Mustow House.
