Description

This is a house located at 1 The Street, dating from the early 17th century. It has one storey and attics, featuring a three-cell lobby-entrance plan. The walls are timber-framed and plastered, standing on a painted brick plinth. The roof is thatched with clasped purlins and includes 19th-century eyebrow casement dormers, along with a central 17th-century chimney made of red brick that has three square attached flues with a dentil-ornamented base. The windows are 19th-century casements, and there is a 20th-century flush entrance door at the lobby-entrance position.
