Description
Widenham Cottages is a row of three cottages built around 1850. They are 1½ storeys tall and constructed from white brick, topped with plain tiled roofs. Each cottage features internal chimney-stacks with plain rectangular shafts. Although the eastern cottage is slightly elevated, all three are part of the same build and remain unaltered. Each cottage has a double-fronted design, with two 3-light casement windows that have a single bar to the lights, slightly arched heads with brick surrounds, and hood-moulds in a Tudor style. There are three gabled dormers, each with 2-light casement windows. The central entrance has a plank door with a rectangular fanlight above, and a gabled porch roof covered in fishscale tiles, supported by large ornamental brackets.
