Description
Ivy Cottage is a cottage dating from around 1840, with a core that dates back to the 18th century. It has one and a half storeys and features five windows. The building is partly timber-framed and rendered, showcasing herringbone pargetting in panels, and is also partly constructed from gault brick. The roof is thatched and hipped at the right-hand end, with slated casement dormers. At the rear, there are 18th-century chimneys made of red brick. The cottage includes small-pane casements from around 1840 and has a central one and a half storey splayed bay made of gault brick, which is gabled and thatched. There is a 19th-century entrance door at the end, which is sheltered by an open thatched semi-circular porch supported by posts.
