Description

Number 119, known as Lushington House, and Number 119A are offices that were originally a house built in the late 18th century. The building has five windows and is two storeys tall with attics. It is constructed of red brick and features parapets, full height pilasters at the corners, and a moulded modillion cornice. Original decorated rainwater hopper-heads and part of the downpiping are still present. The roof is hipped and slated.

The windows are sash style, with those on the ground floor set against a stucco string course. The broad architraves include moulded cornices, and the ground floor windows have small-pane sashes. The entrance door has six fielded panels and an oblong fanlight with intersecting arched glazing bars, framed by a stucco architrave and a pediment supported by console brackets.

Number 119A was built as a service wing to Number 119. It is also two storeys tall with two windows. The sash windows have flat arches made of gauged brick. There is a side entrance door with six fielded panels and an oblong fanlight with small panes, topped by a flat canopy on cantilever brackets.
