Description
The clock tower, located to the south of Ousden House, dates from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a parapeted lead pyramidal roof topped with a wooden open lantern and a weathervane. The tower has a square plan and stands three storeys tall. There are doors on both the ground and first floors. The second floor is distinguished by recessed brick panels that include small circular windows on three sides, while the fourth side has a panel designated for a clock face. This clock tower is the last remaining part of Ousden Hall, which was an 18th and 19th-century house that was demolished in 1959. It is part of a group that includes the hall stables, now Ousden House, the Church of St Peter, and the Dovecote.
