Description
Herringbone Cottage is a house dating from the early 17th century. It has a two-cell plan and stands one and a half storeys tall with attics. The structure is timber-framed and features 20th-century red brick-hogging. The roof is thatched and hipped at the right-hand end, with an axial chimney made of red brick. The cottage has 20th-century small-pane casements and a panelled entrance door, which is sheltered by an open lean-to porch that has a slated roof. There are also 20th-century one-storey extensions at either end of the building.
