Description
The White Horse Public House is an early 17th-century building that was extended in the mid-19th century. It has two storeys and features a two-cell lobby-entrance plan. The structure is timber-framed and rough-cast rendered, topped with a slated roof that includes a red brick axial chimney. The building has 19th-century or early 20th-century three-light small-pane casement windows and a six-panelled entrance door, with the lower panels being fielded, set beneath a flat canopy supported by carved brackets. Inside, there are back-to-back open fireplaces; the one in the parlour has a brick arch, while the hall fireplace has a lintel. The interior also showcases close-studding and unmoulded joists. The 19th-century extension, which is three windows wide on the right side, is made of painted brick, has a hipped slated roof, and features small-pane sash windows.
