Description

Bridewell Cottage is a house located on a corner site in Bury St Edmunds, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with a high cement plinth and features a hipped slate roof with a wide plain eaves overhang. The building has two storeys and a cellar. On the Bridewell Lane side, there is one window on each storey, which are 12-pane sashes set in flush cased frames with segmental-arched frames and brick arches. The entrance door is panelled and set in a plain brick reveal. On the Church Walks side, there is a range of three similar sash windows, with one blank on the upper storey and two blank on the ground storey. The interior has not been inspected.
