Description
Pedlars Patch consists of two houses that were originally one, dating from the late 16th century or early 17th century, with 19th-century alterations. The building has two storeys and features a three-cell lobby-entrance plan, along with later one-storey extensions to the left. It is constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with a pantiled roof that has central and gable chimneys made of gault and red brick. The left side has pantiled gabled dormers at a lower section.
No. 76 features 19th-century horizontally-sliding and hinged casement windows, while No. 78 has 19th-century small-pane sash windows with hinged boarded shutters and a 19th-century four-panelled entrance door. Some timber framing is exposed internally, and the roof has clasped purlins.
