Description

Hainault Cottage is a 17th-century timber-framed and plastered house located in Stoke by Clare. It has one storey and attics, featuring a five-window range with casement windows. Above the doorway, the plaster is inscribed with the date 1677 and the initials M.E. The roof is thatched and gabled at both ends, with two gabled dormers. Hainault Cottage is part of a group with another house located approximately 20 yards north-east, known as Tudor Cottage.
