House. c.1500 with C17 and later alterations and extensions. Rendered and colourwashed timber-frame with pantiled roof, one end half-hipped. Brick ridge and side stacks. Originally probably 2-unit open hall house with a 3rd unit rebuilt or added C17. Single storey with 2 attics. 2 storeys. Front to road has projecting lean-to to right with door and lean-to to left with 3-light casement. 2 Lincolnshire dormers over. Right end has C20 casements. Left end has a 3-light casement to each floor. Front to garden has door with 3-light casement and C20 conservatory to left and projecting stack to right. 2-light dormer over. INTERIOR. Much tall panel framing visible. Chamfered bridging beams with wide joists. Jowled wall posts. Back-to-back open fireplaces with bressumers and stack probably inserted C17 when west bay built or rebuilt. Wide floor boards in part and plank doors. Roof in earlier part has rafters of heavy scantling. Early window frame visible in east ground floor room. A house displaying 2 main building periods c1500 and C17, and comparatively little alteration since.
