Description
This is a house located at 1025 Evesham Road, dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th and mid-20th centuries. The building is timber-framed with painted brick infill, some brick replacement walling, and a half-hipped thatched roof. It has two framed bays oriented north to south, featuring a central chimney and a brick ridge stack. The house is one storey with an attic that includes a dormer.
The west front elevation has a ground floor with a three-light casement window and a square, 19th-century multi-paned metal window. To the right, there is an eyebrow dormer with a two-light, 20th-century casement window and a 20th-century door. The gable ends have attic lights. Inside, much of the framing in the north bay remains intact, along with moulded main ceiling beams. The roof has not been inspected. There is a back-to-back fireplace with a winder staircase located on the west side of the chimney. At the rear, there is a 19th-century lean-to, as well as a 20th-century timber lean-to at the south gable end.
