Description

This is a 19th-century malting kiln located 80 meters southeast of Malting Farmhouse. It is constructed of red brick and stands approximately 8 meters tall. The kiln has a circular base with a diameter of about 4 meters, tapering to about 1 meter in diameter at the top, with the taper starting about 1 meter above the ground. This tapering effect is created by using plinth bricks at every other course. The structure is topped with a conical wooden cap that features a pointed finial.
