Description

The granary located to the east of Wattisfield Hall is a Grade II listed building from the early 17th century. It features a timber-framed core with lower outer walls made of 20th-century brick and has a corrugated asbestos roof. The structure includes blocked upper windows and a doorway, as well as the remains of an outside stair. Inside, there are heavy plain joists and main beams on the ground floor, along with a side purlin roof. The granary consists of five bays, which includes a narrow central bay where the joists are oriented at right angles to the others. Previously, this building was listed together with the house as a "5-bay timber and thatched barn."
