Description

This is an 18th-century cottage, likely subdivided and extended in the mid-19th century, probably to create three separate living spaces. It is one storey high with attics. The external walls are timber-framed and now plastered. The roof is thatched, with a thatched dormer window on one side; the extension has a slated roof. There is a substantial 18th-century brick chimney running along the central axis of the building, and a 19th-century chimney on the right gable. The windows are small-pane casements, and there are boarded entrance doors. Inside, the timber frame is visible. The tie-beams and wallplates are reused elements from an earlier building, and the studwork is slender with primary bracing.
