Description
Prospect House is a house from the mid 18th century with 19th-century alterations. It has two storeys and attics, featuring five windows. The building is constructed of red brick, which is now painted, and has a band at the first-floor level. The roof is covered with plain tiles and includes axial and gable chimneys made of red brick. There are 19th-century gabled dormers with tile-hung cheeks, some of which have fish-scale type tiles, and the windows are mainly 18th-century with flat arches made of gauged brick. Most windows have early 19th-century small-pane sashes with flush frames, and some openings have been widened for larger sashes. The entrance door, dating from the 18th century, features six fielded panels and an oblong fanlight. To the left, there is an 18th-century timber-framed and plastered service range that underwent major alterations around 1900, along with a continuous rear outshut, likely from the 19th century.
