Description

Grove Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 16th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It has two storeys and a three-cell cross-entry plan. The structure is timber-framed and plastered, topped with a pantiled roof that features axial and gable chimneys made of red brick. The windows are mid-19th century sashes with large panes, and there is a four-panelled entrance door. Inside, there is good unmoulded timber-framing on display, including an arch-braced open truss over the hall chamber, which extends above the service end. The roof is a clasped-purlin design.
