Description
Noyes Farmhouse is a late 16th-century farmhouse that features a timber frame and plastered exterior, with a 19th-century red brick facade and a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, designed in a two-cell, lobby entry form. It includes three 19th-century casement windows with large panes and segmental arches, and a mid-20th-century entrance door. The chimney stack retains its original plain rectangular shaft. There is a small mid-20th-century addition to the left of the farmhouse. Inside, the main rooms have chamfered-joist ceilings, and some first-floor framing is visible. The newel stairs lead to the upper levels, and some timbers show traces of red ochre decoration, likely from the original construction. The roof is intact, featuring clasped and butt purlins along with slightly cranked wind-bracing.
