Description

A terrace of four cottages dating from the late 18th century, located on Lower Green in Felsham. The cottages are timber-framed and have been plastered, with mid-20th century decorative pargeting applied in panels. The roof is hipped and covered in plain tiles, with two axial chimneys constructed from red brick. The building has two storeys and four windows. The first floor has 19th-century casement windows, although number 3 has a 20th-century replacement. The ground floor windows are mid-20th century casements with small panes of glass. The entrance doors are boarded, in a style typical of the 18th or 19th century, except for number 3, which has a 20th-century boarded entrance porch. Internally, oak framing is exposed, including primary braces and on-edge floor joists. The cottages are included on the list for their group value.
