Description

Mausoleum House, originally known as Mausoleum Farmhouse, was built in 1794. The house is constructed of gault brick and features a hipped slated roof with deep eaves supported by slender paired modillions. It has external chimneys made of gault brick and stands two storeys high with three windows. The windows are sashes with small panes and flat arches made of gauged brick. The entrance door has six fielded panels and is topped by a semi-circular fanlight with mouchette patterned glazing bars. Around 1970, a Doric portico porch with a flat entablature on columns was added to replace the original entrance feature.
