Description

Church Cottage is a house located in Drinkstone, dating from the early 17th century or earlier, and built in two stages. It has a three-cell plan and stands two storeys high. The structure is timber-framed and plastered, topped with a thatched roof. There is a central chimney made of red brick from the 17th or early 18th century, with the shaft rebuilt in the 20th century. To the left, there is an external chimney of red brick from the 18th or 19th century. The windows are small-pane casements from the 19th century, and there is a 19th-century plank entrance door. The parlour block on the right is taller than the hall block and may have been added later.
