Description

This is a barn located 60 meters south of Manor Farmhouse, dating from the early 17th century. It is timber framed, primarily covered in plaster and tar, with the east gable end weatherboarded. The roof is covered with pantiles. The barn features a 6½-bay frame, with the half-bay at the west end likely being the remnants of a seventh bay. There is a cart entry in the fourth bay from the east, accompanied by a gabled porch on the north side. The structure retains largely intact studding with a middle rail, and the east gable end displays braces on the outside of the studs. The porch includes diamond-mullioned windows in the gable. Most of the original tie beam braces have been removed. The roof consists of clasped and butt purlins, with some wind bracing that is only slightly curved.
