Description
Chapel Cottage is a house dating back to the 18th century, although it likely has a core dating to the 16th or 17th century. It is a two-story, two-cell building with end chimneys. The house has a timber frame covered with plaster, with some 18th-century cable-pattern pargeting in panels. The roof is pantiled, originally thatched. A gable chimney is located to the left, constructed of red brick. A second chimney to the right, dating to the 19th century, incorporates reused 16th and 17th-century orange and buff bricks. The windows are 20th-century casements. A 20th-century lean-to entrance porch with a half-glazed, plaintiled roof has been added. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included on the list for its group value.
