Description
Monks Barn, located approximately 100 metres south-west of Worlingworth Hall, is a barn that has been partly converted into a dwelling. It dates back to the 16th century and features a timber frame that is mainly covered with weatherboarding, while the end gables are rendered. The roof is made of pantiles and the structure consists of five bays. There are various 20th-century doors and windows added to the building. Inside, the timber frame remains largely intact, including two bays that are now residential. The interior showcases full height studs with jowled posts, a queen post roof with arched braces supporting the ties, and curved braces connecting to the collars and clasped side purlins.
