Description

Farriers is a house dating from the mid-16th century. It is timber framed with plasterwork designed to imitate ashlar and has a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, arranged in a three-cell form. It features various casement windows from the 18th and 19th centuries, mostly with small panes, and a boarded entrance door from the mid-20th century. There is an internal stack and a gable stack to the right. The interior has been somewhat modernised but retains much of the exposed structure. There are two arched doorways in the rear wall, both of which are blocked. The roof is a queen-post design, and the stack appears to be a later addition or rebuilding.
