Description
Winston Grange is a former vicarage built between 1843 and 1844 by S.S. Teulon, designed in the Tudor style. The building is constructed of red brick and features prominent parapet gables, some of which have crowstepping. It has plaintiled roofs and red brick chimneys with clusters of detached square flues that have various ornamental details near their bases. The windows have square splayed heads and are hoodmoulded, with wooden subframes that include prominent mullions and narrow sliding sashes. The entrance porch, which is also parapet gabled and covered with plaintiles, has an arched doorway and a pair of glazed doors. To the left of the main building, there is a low single-storey service range that is approached through a Tudor-arched gateway in a screen wall; this range is integral to the building and enhances its architectural quality.
