Description
Whitelodge Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 19th century, with a core that likely dates back to the 18th century. The building stands two storeys high and features three windows. It is constructed of red brick, which has been painted, with the left-hand side of the main elevation made from narrower brickwork, possibly from the early 18th century or earlier. This division is marked by a slight projection to the left of the entrance. The roofs are covered with plain tiles and have end chimneys made of red brick.
The windows are 6-light mullioned and transomed designs from the 19th and 20th centuries, featuring cambered heads and small-pane casements. The entrance door, which is from the early 19th century, has six panels, with the top panels being glazed. An attractive open trelliswork porch, also from the early 19th century, features side panels with an open diamond and square pattern. The porch's ogee-shaped metal roof is adorned with sawtooth bargeboards and a spike finial. Additionally, there is a rear wing that was constructed in two stages, likely in the 18th and 19th centuries.
