Description
Old Hall is a farmhouse dating from the mid or late 16th century. It has two storeys and a three-cell cross-entry plan. The building is timber-framed and plastered, featuring a long wall jetty on the east side. The bressumer, joists, and wall framing above the jetty are all exposed, with plaster infill panels between close-studding. The roof is covered with concrete tiles and has an axial chimney made of red brick, which dates from the 16th or 17th century. The windows on the ground floor are three-light casements from the 20th century, with transoms. There is a half-glazed panelled door located at the cross-entry position, accompanied by a flat-roofed open porch supported by posts. The interior has not been examined.
