Description

The Chantry is a house dating from the 16th to 17th centuries. It comprises a main range with a cross-wing to the right. The building is timber-framed and plastered, with mostly plain tiled roofs. It has two storeys and an attic. The windows are 19th-century casement windows. There are two matching early 19th-century doorways, each with a moulded architrave featuring corner roundels, a frieze, and a cornice. The doors are 4-panel and 6-panel, dating to the 19th century. Internal stacks are present in each range; the cross-wing has a second stack at the rear gable end. The interior has not been examined.
