Description

67 The Street is a late 16th-century house that stands one storey high with attics. It features a timber-framed and plastered structure, topped with a plaintiled roof that includes a 19th-century gabled casement dormer and axial chimneys made of red brick. The house has 19th-century small-pane casements and a sash window, along with a 20th-century panelled door. The exposed framing is unmoulded, and it has a wind-braced clasped purlin roof dating from around 1600. It is likely that this house was originally built as one with No. 65 The Street. In the 18th century, an outshut and a gabled wing were added to the rear. In the 19th century, the house was part of a terrace of three almshouses.
