Description

Willow Cottage is a house dating from the mid-17th century, with a 19th-century addition to the right. It is timber framed and plastered, topped with a roof of glazed black pantiles. The building has two storeys and an attic, following a two-cell plan with an end chimney. There are two 19th-century casement windows and two boarded doors. The 19th-century addition is also timber framed and plastered, featuring a slated roof and widely-spaced studding without bracing. Inside, there are exposed joists set flat at the service end, and the roof includes one row of clasped purlins and a ridge piece. The staircase is a newel type.
