Description
The vestry, located 10 meters north of the Church of St. Mary, was built in 1837, as indicated by the carved stone tablet above the entrance door. Designed in the Gothick style, it is constructed from gault brick and features flat corner pilasters and dentilled eaves. The roof is hipped and covered with fishscale slates.
The building has a pair of windows with two-centred arched heads and moulded limestone frames, which include cast iron glazing bars that intersect at the heads. The doorway also has a matching limestone head on imposts and features a two-panelled door adorned with a tracery design made of large nail-heads. At the rear, there are 6-light transomed windows with leaded lights.
