Description
Pegg's Farmhouse is a former farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with a possible earlier core. The building has one storey and attics, with a two-storey crosswing to the left that is also from the 17th century. It is timber-framed and plastered, featuring a concrete plain tiled roof that was likely originally thatched. There are two gabled casement dormers. The farmhouse has an axial 17th-century chimney primarily made of red brick, with a sawtooth shaft and a sunk date panel in the plinth. The section of the stack that was once beneath the thatch line is mainly constructed of narrow buff bricks. To the right, there is an 18th or early 19th-century internal end chimney made of red brick, which is integrated with the parapet gable. The small-pane casements are of 19th-century style but were likely replaced in the mid-20th century. The entrance door has six panels, with the top pair being glazed. The interior has not been examined.
