Description

The Homestead is a former farmhouse dating from the late 16th century, which was extended to the left in the late 17th or early 18th century to create a three-cell house. It is timber framed and plastered, topped with a thatched roof, and has one and a half storeys. The building features three windows with mid-20th century casements, a lobby entrance with a mid-20th century gabled porch, and a boarded and battened door. There is also a small gabled dormer and an internal stack with a rendered shaft. The interior has been modernised but retains exposed timbering. The left-hand cell was likely used as a dairy.
