Description

This is a late 17th century timber-framed building with plastered walls, located at 19-23 Fore Street. It is two storeys high with attics, and originally had a four-window front, although the centre section, with two windows, projects slightly. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars, set in flush cased frames. The ground floor has 20th century shop fronts designed to resemble 19th century style, featuring glazing bars. There is a six-panel door with a fanlight, alongside a double-hung sash window with glazing bars. The tiled roof has a modillion eaves cornice and three gabled dormers.
