Description

Nos 7 and 8 on Church Street are a 16th to 17th century timber-framed and plastered building with a tiled roof. Originally, the upper storey jutted out, but it was built out and refronted in the 19th century. The building has two storeys and features a three-window range of double-hung sashes with glazing bars. At the south end, there is a small 19th-century shop window with glazing bars, pilasters, and a cornice. The entrance includes two three-panel doors. Inside, the building showcases exposed timber-framing, ceiling beams, and joists, along with an original blocked doorway.
