Description

No. 87 Church Street is a 15th to 16th century timber-framed and plastered house with a gable facing the street. The timber framing is fully exposed, and the building has two storeys. The upper storey juts out over the lower one, supported by exposed joists and curved brackets. There is one range of double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. The roof is tiled. This property is recognized for its significance as part of a group of buildings along the street, which includes Nos. 85 to 91 in succession.
