Description

No. 5 Saltgate is a 17th-century building with a front dating to the 18th century, incorporating older work as seen in the adjacent Nos. 1 and 3. It is three storeys high and has three windows with sash glazing bars under segmental arches. The building is constructed of red brick and has a pantile roof. A wooden-cased door with an 8-panel design and fanlight is at the front. NMR photographs exist of the building. It possesses group value alongside nearby properties.
