Description

Number 8, The Walk, is probably an 18th-century building. It is two storeys high and has one window on the ground floor, with two windows on the first floor facing Rook's Lane. The building is constructed of brick and is painted. It features a toothed eaves band and is topped with pantiles. The near-flush-frame sash windows have glazing bars. There is a shopfront in a wooden case with pilasters and an entablature. The entrance, located on the side facing Rook's Lane, also has a wooden case with pilasters and an entablature. This building is part of a significant group, with numbers 1 to 8 forming an important ensemble opposite the Church.
