Description

North Lodge is a lodge cottage located on Debenham Road, built around 1820 for Philip Meadows. The building is a single storey with plastered walls and has a T-shaped plan. The central projecting arm is semi-octagonal, while the flanking arms feature oversailing eaves supported by two tapering circular columns. It has hipped roofs covered with slates, and a central chimney made of plastered red brick. The original windows are casements with Y-tracery and arched heads, designed in the Gothick style. The entrance door is centrally located, boarded and battened, and set back within a moulded architrave.
