Description

This is a pair of cottages located on New Street, originally dating from the late 18th century, and remodelled in 1976-8. The cottages are two storeys high and feature a single sash window. They have a plain tile roof, although the original stacks have been removed. The walls are painted brick with a dentil eaves cornice. The windows have gauged flat brick arches and glazing bars, set within architraved frames. A former shopfront window at No. 41 has been replaced with a sash window. The recessed doorways have gauged flat brick arches and six-panel doors. The former entablature and pediment of No. 43 have been removed.
